Coronation Street live show to celebrate 50th anniversary

Coronation Street is going live for an episode to mark the 50th anniversary of the soap, according to ITV. The special live broadcast episode will take place later on this year – in time to commemorate the shows half-century celebrations in December.

No information about the plot or story plans have been unveiled for the show yet, although there have already been announcements of a tram incident that will involve the deaths of big characters on the show. Whether this tram crash and the live broadcast will happen together is unknown at this time.

To coincide with the 50th anniversary celebrations of one of our favourite soaps, a theatre production has started showing at The Lowry in Salford. Can you guess what the show is called? That’s right: Corrie!
